  1. @jaredm5954

I’m wearing the Dean jacket right now and it is without a doubt 10/10 quality. Exceeds expectations.

I consider this a game changer when leaving the house, knowing I have all my items with me, and I didn’t have to sacrifice mobility or appearance of the jacket when out in public. For those looking to transition from tactical belts, or remove some items to reduce the weight on your tactical belt, this jacket offers lots of storage options (and doesn’t do the loose bag effect when everything pools at the bottom middle of the pocket) with the d-ring system for quick attachments or deployments.

I wasn’t intending on testing the water proof/resistance but got stuck walking back in the rain. It was after I got back that I realized it’s special feature, when all I had to do was (in a way) dust myself off, then I was dry again.

Overall, this jacket is badass. It goes well with jeans, or with the tactical pants sold on d2a website. Works with any shirt, even a Christmas sweater.

Do yourself a favour by purchasing the Dean.

    Highly recommend.

TheDEAN is the culmination of More than a Decade of R&D & Field Testing.

It took a lot of Time, Money & Prototypes to get it right; Everything Has been Spec’ed out right down to The Thread Weight and Type:

    BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!!

I strongly believe that TheDEAN is the perfect EDC item.

It fills a significant void in the market by providing a practical ‘tool belt’ that complements the wide variety of tools in the EDC world.

    First impressions of the dean.

The jacket is well built feels durable. It’s comfortable. It looks good in terms of not standing out like a tactical dork wannabe.

The ambidextrous pocket selection bolt left and right is brilliant.

The use consideration for pistol magazines, edge weapons, flashlights, gloves, escape tools, etc., are all intertwined into the material.

The weight and material is something that could be worn in hot weather climate or with a little bit of room to add an extra layer, it could be worn in colder weather climate.

    Great product!!

I’ve been wearing this jacket for a couple of days now, and I’m sold.

It has that clean, timeless Americana vibe, and I actually got a compliment the very first time I wore it. The comment came from someone younger, prettier, and of the opposite sex—which counts as a double compliment.

It arrived in a simple zip bag, but the moment I picked it up, I could tell it was the real deal. Solid build, great feel. Slip it on and it’s like stepping into a luxury car—lined with “weapons-grade” satin (yes, apparently a thing).

It’s a true three-season, take-it-anywhere, look-good-while-you-do-it kind of jacket. Built to last, with classic styling… my grandkids will be fighting for this jacket after I am dead.

    Highly Recommended…

This is an absolute unit of a jacket. Superb quality and functionality fused with unpretentious style.

More pockets and capacity than I’ve seen on any other jacket, overbuilt quality and attention to detail.

Very happy with this jacket. Layers well. Looks slick and will absolutely be an indispensable addition to the travel packing list.

    Highly recommended.

Perfect Spring/Fall jacket with great mobility (and ideal length) in the arms so not too bulky behind the wheel either.

The main event for me is the inner pockets and storage…..it’s as if they managed to fit a flat backpack on the inside complete with perfectly placed D-hooks, very impressed with that.

The inner material is also absolutely comfortable much like a suit jacket material.

Lastly the styling is about as clean as anything else I’ve seen on the market with this amount of storage utility, no bulky external zippers or velcro, just looks CLEAN.

    Beyond well made.

I’ve had TheDean for 3 days so I have a few initial thoughts, as over used as the saying is it’s “built like a tank”. This is the toughest built jacket I’ve ever bought. It also fits me like tailored suit coat.

The attention to detail in this jacket is second to none. I normally grab a lighter and clean up the stray threads on anything I buy, but couldn’t find one on this jacket quality control is amazing.

The pocket layout and the few hidden features I’ve played with so far are very well thought out and well executed.

The material doesn’t print at all with any of my edc holsters appendix or 3 O’clock carry and I have tried to make it fail. This thing will excel in any covert application.

It looks killer with a collared shirt or just a t-shirt.

I have gotten compliments on it from a few people and my wife says its the nicest coat I own.

I wear an XL and am 6’3 255lbs.

TheDEAN Rugged and better looking than me. Were my first thoughts out of the bag ( which was sleek and stylish on its own).

You pick it up and it just feels SOLID. Than you put it on, and start speaking with a posh British accent while automatically patting the plethora of pockets down for your Austin Marten keys.

With my “unique” build, sizing is usually hit or miss for me. It was a hit with the dean. About 5’10ish and 175-180lbs the medium fits comfy, but with room to move comfortably. And enough give to add pounds in a few places should my bulk ever take hold.

The pockets are ingenious with cool closures and tethers to secure a variety of items or tools you’d prefer not to lose.

Enough pockets to have multiple load outs / options without having to swap out for every occasion.

TheDEAN feels like it will blend in almost anywhere up.

Can’t wait to put it through its full paces.

    TL;DR:
    Well Built
    Well Designed

The Dean is a unique jacket. It could be used in the mountains on a hunting trip, on the range, at a job site, or mixing in with the crowd at an Italian coffee house. I also love the “mandarin style” collar, so the collar is always up at the right height. It has a refined look, and no obvious logos or patterns on the exterior of the jacket. A true “low signature” look. The cut is also done so you have “full movement” around the shoulder joint, and nothing binds.

The D Rings and attachment points are all black, and subtly attached for whatever gear you want to keep tidy. I also love that you can put gear “higher” than many other jackets (such as armpits), compared to piling up gear in pockets where it just makes mounds or lumps at the bottom of a pocket. This of course looks bulky or obvious that there is lots of “stuff” within the jacket that may draw unwanted attention. It is rare to find a jacket specifically made to not draw attention.

The way the D rings and hooks are mounted, you can properly space out equipment.

The large loop rings where you can keep equipment such as a 1 inch / 25mm flashlight on either side are also subtle, and no one will notice unless you open the jacket to pull it out.

The jacket is also water resistant to an absurd degree, as I have accidently found out a number of times. I have machine washed it numerous times now, and the interior / exterior material is holding up great.

The jacket is expensive, but I plan to wear this for many many years until it wears out!

    I use an XL size
    6’1” // 182 CM
    190lbs // 86 KG

    Strongly recommended 10/10 jacket.

As a police officer working a covert to overt role in a street crime unit finding purpose built clothing is a challenge.

The hidden pockets conceal evidence bags, search gloves and other essential equipment perfectly.

The routing at the base of the jacket perfectly hides our issued zip cuffs.

The jacket is stylish, lightweight and durable and has survived multiple take downs, even under a vest.

    TL;DR
    *Built Tough
    *Looks Great
    *Exceptional Covert Carry Capacity

    I am 5’11 187 lbs, and wear a Large.

    TheDEAN is simply Amazing!!

The style is timeless and always good. Understated and unobtrusive.

It has so many great features like underarm zippers, tons of pockets, and carabiner hooks inside the pockets.

There are also very large zippered pockets for cell phones and other useful items. On top of that, the jacket is extremely water-repellent.

I’m absolutely smitten. TOP JOB D2A!!!
