The AVRO is a Beefed up version of the Classic Leader Design.

It’s Aggressive point, 8mm Stock paired with an Acid-Washed Finish ensures that it hits hard, and is easy to control.

The AVRO has a “Wedge Edge” which makes it a bit more for giving; a benefit to Beginner and Competitive throwers a like.

Its longer Slender Shape makes it very consistent in flight, and ensures it penetrates deep into the target.

The straight handle, makes it a great choice for reverse grip No-Spin/Anti-Spin Styles of throwing.

It is a perfect for any style of throwing, and any level of thrower.

The Knife is slightly handle heavy, and works well for Half, Full, and No-Spin Variations; both Western Push Style, and the Wave Styles (SKANf, IVA, BIM, etc.)

*The Kizlyar Leader Throwing Knife KK0055 was Recommended to me Throwstar Official; and it wasn’t “My Knife” as Lobo said. Ace took it has a challenge to make it into a Knife that he liked. The Edge was changed, the point is sharper, the offset of the handle is different, and the thickness was increased from 6mm to 8mm. With that said, it is undeniable that the KK055 had a strong influence on the AVRO, and it is available here.

A new design that feels like an old friend. Throws so comfy my hand misses it before it reaches the target. Leaves your palm with the smooth slide of a bow shuriken yet with the control and power of my favorite bowie. Whether it’s your first or your 50th piece it will definitely leave an impression.

If you ever needed a thrower that was engineered for consistent instinctive half-spin from close to far distances (3m to 10m +) look no further this is THE knife for that. Whether you index on the spine or use military half-spin style with the thumb, the knife gives accurate feedback allowing an easier learning curve for all skill levels.

  3. Ace Johnson

Easy to Throw in a Variety of Grips, great for competition and backyard throwers alike.

Especially good for Reverse Grip Throws, as well as Half-Spin.

    Very Accurate.

This design was my first and only knife.

It is incredibly comfortable for instinctive half spin. I still like it for no spin as well specifically with fast draw.

I really like the slenderness of this knife. The handle shoots from my hand very smoothly. I mainly am throwing no spin. I like how the handle slims down. where it meets the blade. It leaves a shelf, or bump that I place the tip of my index finger on. With a wave or whip type throw this knife really puts some backpressure on my finger that makes it shoot from my hand. I am throwing into log rounds, the knife sticks very well. I was surprised on my first throw, it was a bad one, but the knife hit the target straight. I get more consistant straight sticks with this knife than my other favorites. One last thing, this knife has a nice thickness and heft to it. It feels quality to me.
